Zibluk chosen as National Geographic Faculty Fellow

National Geographic has named Dr. Jack Zibluk as its Faculty Fellow for 2002.

Zibluk, an assistant professor of journalism, will spend nine weeks this summer at National Geographer's headquarters. He will become involved in all editorial stages of the magazine, including story selection, writing and editing and layout and design.

Susan Smith, National Geographer's assistant photography editor, pointed out that the purpose of the fellowship is to allow educators to bring back the latest innovations in magazine journalism back to the classroom.

Zibluk has led Arkansas State University' photojournalism emphasis since 1993. He also works as a part-time copy editor and page designer for the Memphis Commercial Appeal, beginning in 2000 during an internship for professors organized by the American Society of Newspaper Editors Excellence in Journalism program in 2000.

For more information, contact Dr. Zibluk (870-972-3075).
