6 undergraduates to present research papers
To Arkansas Undergraduate Conference

Six College of Communications undergraduates will present research papers April 19-20 at the 2002 Arkansas Undergraduate Research Conference at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. The six and their topics are:

  • Brooke Owen, journalism, "The Portrayal of Women in Super Bowl
    Commercials."
  • Andrea Johnston, journalism, "Southern Gospel v. Contemporary
    Christian Music: An Analysis of Theme."
  • Hannah Harris, RTV, "Home Improvement: A Semiotic Critical
    Analysis."
  • Lindsey Landreth, RTV, "A content analysis of AAPOR standards in
    Television Broadcasting: The Television Poll Story.
  • Heather McCutcheon, journalism student, "A Content Analysis of College
    Newspaper Coverage of the September 11th Terrorist Attacks on the United
    States."
  • Ana Pitt, journalism student, "Product Placement in Children's Films: A
    Content Analysis of What's Placed.
